Crisis Management



The Crisis Management course prepares students on preparing a written crisis management plan and implementing it in their workplace. Emphasis is placed on communication skills, global awareness, management skills, critical thinking, theory, planning, management, response, relief, recovery and specific cases associated with public emergencies, disasters and catastrophes.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the Crisis Management course, the student will be familiar with:

  • Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Disaster and Society
  • Terrorism and Homeland Security
  • Relationship Management
  • Emergency Management and Public Policy
  • Basic Emergency Planning
  • Disaster Health Management

Course Required By: As directed by company

Written Exam: Written and hands-on competency will be evaluated at the end of each course. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.

Retraining: Students should consider an annual refresher to maintain their competencies
