The Heavy Equipment Operator Safety course follows a standardized training format based on competency-based training & performance testing on the type of equipment to be operated.
Upon completion of the Heavy Equipment Operator Safety course, the student should be able to:
- Define terms associated with equipment safety and operations
- Identify proper safety practices with regard to bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders and scrapers
- Perform the required safety and operational checks for bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders and scrapers

Course Required By: OSHA
Written Exam: Written and hands-on competency will be evaluated at the end of each course.
